LOST
Just sent off the first edited video from this system of mine
Not the product I wanted to send
Too many loose ends
Not enough polish
Fairly clueless in the process
But I did lose track of time in the process
That is a good sign
I have waited for such a project
To get lost in
Next.... Tossed

Where would one go to see such a project?
It will be part of a larger memorial video for a friend of a friend who had just passed. What I sent them will most likely be edited as well.
But it did learn a few things. One, I need some sort of camera stabilizer. I found this guy's web site that may be the answer to that problem.
www-2.cs.cmu.edu/~johnny/steadycam/
Two, editing on this MAC will take alot of trial and error.
I have a cheap tripod for my personal camcorder. When I want a steady shot while I'm moving around, I just use the weight of the tripod (very light) as my "steadycam." I keep the legs spread a little and rest the tripod and camera in the palm of my hand. Works pretty good.
Happy editing.
